The YouTube Feature No One Talks About (But Should Be)

The YouTube Feature No One Talks About (But Should Be)

Hey everyone,

Lately, I've been experimenting with a feature on YouTube that no one seems to be talking about.

The results I'm seeing are blowing my mind. Honestly, it's one of those things I almost want to keep to myself before everyone is doing it. šŸ˜‚

But success is abundant, and your success is mine too!

So, what is it? Well let's dive in.

šŸ¤” What’s underpriced attention?

As a creator finding underpriced organic attention is gold.

Underpriced organic attention you say? What’s that?

Well it's when you find a way to reach a lot of people for free (or at a very low cost), and it still has a big impact.

Sometimes it's from newer platforms or features that aren't saturated yet, or when older platforms update something and want to push it—like Instagram did with Reels back in the day.

šŸ’” A Feature with Huge Potential

I think I've found something similar on YouTube: YouTube community posts.

These are social media-style updates you can share with your subscribers, like text, images, or polls.

It’s not something new, but YouTube recently gave community posts their own separate space, and it seems like they want us to use it—because the reach I'm getting is wild.

šŸ“ˆ Crazy Impressions and Engagement

The impressions on just a few posts over the last week have been fantastic.

Notice that I’m also gaining subscribers from these posts, which means that it’s reaching new audience, wiiiiiild.

If that's from a few posts, what could happen if I posted 20-30 times in a month?

šŸ”— Driving Traffic and Capturing Leads

It's not just about engagement. I've found it useful for driving traffic to older videos and capturing leads.

For example, I'm launching a community for photographers soon, and over 200 of the 500+ people on the waitlist came from just two YouTube Community posts (here’s one of them).

That's incredible!

šŸ’° Turning Leads into Revenue

Even with a conservative 5-10% conversion rate, that means 10-20 new paying members—all from something that's free to do.

And since it's a subscription service, that's recurring revenue baby!

ā™»ļø A Clever Way to Maximize Your Content's Reach

So, how do I create content for this without spending too much time?

The key is reusing content across channels. YouTube posts work well with my Instagram content.

I can use the same photos and similar copy, just tweaking it for each platform (that’s important, each platform is a little different and you need to adjust for it).

Because I've been making Instagram content for years, I have a lot of great posts to repurpose on YouTube.

šŸ“Š Exploring More Features

I'm still exploring the possibilities, like using polls and other features.

But I'm genuinely excited about the potential—not just for connecting more deeply with my audience, but also for driving traffic to my offers and business.

Anyway, my friend, I just wanted to share something exciting I've found this week with you.

Take care, and I'll catch you in the next one.

Best,
Arnulfur
